The Mu2e experiment received Stage I approval from the Fermilab Directorate in January 2009; there remains a long R&D and approval process. We are planning to start construction about 2013, start commissioning after 4 years, and have preliminary results about a year after that.

In the mean time you can check on the current status of the Mu2e experiment and you can visit the working group webpages to follow the progress in more detail.
